POWDER APPLICATIONS / SALT
Salt packing matched to crystal size and bag format
Fine salt, free-flowing crystals and powder-like grades should not be treated as the same filling application. We select the dosing route, contact materials and closing arrangement around your actual salt and package.
Dosing focus: cups or weighing for suitable free-flowing granules; auger dosing assessed for powder-like grades.

01 / UNDERSTAND THE MATERIAL
Start with the product, then select the equipment
Identify the salt grade
Particle size, moisture and additives affect flow through the feeder. Send a sample description so we can assess volumetric, linear or multihead weighing, or a suitable powder-filling arrangement.
Review contact materials early
Humidity and the cleaning method matter when selecting product-contact components. Tell us your operating environment and cleaning requirements before the construction specification is agreed.
Match the bag and closure
Film structure, any paper-bag liner and the top closure determine the finished package. We review these details with filling and the required protection during storage and transport.
02 / CHOOSE THE PACKING ROUTE
Match the machine to the pack you want to sell
Compare operator handling, package formation and closing requirements. Each route connects to equipment details and a project discussion.

01 / Salt
Granule dosing and film bagging
For suitable free-flowing salt grades in film bags. Select cup, linear or multihead dosing with the VFFS platform after reviewing flow, pack weight and construction requirements.

02 / Salt
Automatic premade paper bags
For compatible premade paper or plastic bag formats. The dedicated bag-handling sequence is selected together with dosing, bag support and the required top closure.

03 / Salt
Semi-automatic powder filling
For powder-like salt grades requiring an assessed auger arrangement. The operator places the package; confirm salt compatibility, contact materials and the separate closing station.
Output, filling accuracy and package compatibility are confirmed for the actual product, fill weight, bag or container and selected configuration.
03 / FOLLOW THE LINE

Choose a stage or play the overview. The package handling and closing stages change with the route you select.
Supply the product
Connect the product supply to the dosing unit. Review hopper capacity, feed height and the available space around the machine.
Prepare the dose
Select an auger, volumetric cup or weighing unit to suit product flow and the required fill weight.
Dosing focus: cups or weighing for suitable free-flowing granules; auger dosing assessed for powder-like grades.
Present and fill
Position a bag or container manually, open a premade bag automatically, or form a bag from roll film, according to the selected route.
Close the package
Match heat sealing, folded-paper closure or container closing to the packaging material and finished-pack requirements.
Inspect and discharge
Connect coding, checkweighing, metal detection or finished-pack conveying where these modules are included in the agreed scope.
Process illustration, not a machine cycle simulation. Included equipment and station sequence depend on the project.
04 / COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION
Plan the equipment around the filling machine
Plan the hopper and feed path around salt flow, plant humidity and cleaning access. Define coding, weight inspection and conveyor connections as part of the same layout discussion.

Check the filled pack
A checkweigher can be specified for the pack range and production rate. Define acceptance limits and the required reject arrangement with your quality team.

Connect the next operation
Match outfeed height, conveyor direction and accumulation to coding, secondary packing or the next handling station.

05 / WATCH THE MECHANISM
Operating references from CHANTEC PACK
This paper-bag reference is filmed with flour. It shows bag presentation, support, folding and closing. Salt dosing and bag compatibility are reviewed separately for your application.

Questions to resolve before choosing a machine
Can one dosing unit handle fine and coarse salt?
Do not assume the same setting or dosing unit suits both. We review particle size, flow, fill weight and the accuracy target. Product trials help define the feeder, weighing or auger arrangement and any change parts.
Are paper bags suitable for my salt?
That depends on the bag structure, liner or coating, closing method and storage conditions. Send the complete bag specification and desired finished pack. Paper folding alone does not establish a moisture barrier or an airtight seal.
Let’s define your packing solution
Tell us your product, pack format, fill weight and output target. We will use those details to discuss dosing, closing and the line layout.
