FLOUR PAPER BAG PACKAGING

The bag and flour guide the configuration.

Paper layers, coatings, gussets and any inner liner affect opening, filling and closing. Flour characteristics and target weight guide the dosing selection.

  • Flour type, flow characteristics and bulk density
  • Target pack weights and output for each format
  • Empty bag dimensions and material structure
  • Required finished top and closure

Plan what happens after filling.

Checkweighing, date coding, conveying, inspection and secondary packing can be specified for the project. Machine dimensions alone do not define the complete line footprint.

Questions to resolve before selecting a line.

Can one machine run different bag weights?

Compatibility depends on bag dimensions, product behavior, metering parts and the closing arrangement. List every bag format and target weight, with the output required for each.

How is the top of the paper bag closed?

The supplied configurations combine top folding with hot-melt adhesive or label closure. The fold sequence, adhesive arrangement and any liner sealing requirement are defined for the selected bag.

Is the maximum speed available for every product?

Actual output depends on the flour, fill weight, bag and selected configuration. Product and bag samples help define the required production result.

What should I send for a proposal?

Start with your flour type, target pack weights and required output. Add an empty bag drawing or a photo showing the finished pack and required closure if available.

01 / Packing process

From an empty bag to a finished pack

Select a stage to see what happens. Play the illustration for a guided overview of the process.

Process illustration, not a timed machine simulation. The sequence and equipment are configured for the project.

Feed & open

A premade bag is opened and positioned in a support mould. Bag construction and opening behaviour are checked against your samples.

Dose & fill

The selected dosing unit delivers the product into the supported bag. Auger, volumetric cup or weighing options depend on the material and fill weight.

Settle the product

The settling stage helps the contents sit consistently in the bag before the top is folded. Settings are matched to the product and pack format.

Fold the top

The bag top is folded to suit the required finished pack. Send a photo of your desired pack shape so we can review the closing arrangement.

Close the bag

Hot-melt adhesive or label closure is selected to match the bag. Barrier performance depends on the bag structure and agreed closing method.

Discharge & connect

Finished packs move to the outfeed. Coding, checkweighing, metal detection and secondary packing can be included in the agreed line scope.

02 / Line layouts

Real layouts for a practical installation discussion

These examples come from supplied project drawings. Compare the machine, conveyors and downstream arrangement with your available floor space.

Front and plan views show example single-station line arrangements. Feeding equipment, secondary packing and service access must be reviewed for your plant.

Drawing labels are in English. Planning reference; final installation dimensions require an approved project layout.

Dual-station layout reference

The dual-station example connects filling to conveying, inspection, pack collation and overwrapping. These downstream modules are project options, with scope confirmed in the proposal.

01

Start with the bag

Send the front width, gusset depth, length, material and finished-top photo. Bag compatibility is reviewed together with fill weight and output.

02

Check the whole line

Allow for feeding, platforms, conveyors, downstream equipment and access. The machine body dimensions alone do not define the installation footprint.

03

Define the supply scope

Choose coding, weight inspection, metal detection and secondary packing around your production and quality-control needs.

03 / CONTROLS & COMPONENTS

A clear component reference for your proposal

Review the control and pneumatic package alongside the process. The supplied project list names the following reference brands.

INOVANCE

PLC, HMI & servo motion

Coordinate control, operator settings and servo motion in the selected configuration.

OMRON / SICK

Photoelectric sensing

Photoelectric sensor selection is reviewed with the bag handling and detection requirements.

Electrical components

Low-voltage electrical components form part of the agreed electrical specification.

SMC / Festo

Pneumatic actuation

The reference list includes SMC cylinders and tee fittings, with Festo solenoid valves.

Nordson

Hot-melt adhesive system

Review adhesive closure with the bag material, required top fold and finished-pack requirements.

igus / C&U

Bearings

Bearing selection is listed as igus or C&U, according to the agreed project component schedule.
